This report is regarding the work that I have done in the week from 11/28 to 12/02 and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
In the past week I have already done the all the major task in our group. So I begin to develop my individual documentation project. Also, our group has done all the major tasks. We had a group meeting during the class. We summarized all the things we have done from the day one of the project. We discussed the details on organization postmortem. We could not finish it in the class. So we made a group appointment on next Tuesday to do the postmortem and prepare the formal group presentation.
The work I need to do in the upcoming week is to read the sample final documentation project and the sample individual documentation project. Start to summarize what I did in the group and provide it to the group for editing the final documentation project.
This report is regarding the work that I have done in the week from 11/14 to 11/18and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
What I have done in this week is the proofreading of the pitch letter for Pappy’s and also added some details on it. All the details are corresponding with what Pappy’s can provide us on tailgate. So with the detail we can plan the setup of tailgate better. I have also did research online about other tailgate events since we are the first tailgate organization in SLU which means we don’t have any previous experience to refer. I have never been to any tailgate party so the researches really give me a sense about how it likes.
The work I need to do in the upcoming week is to continuous to work on the layout of tailgating event. The whole team is going to work on this together.
This report is regarding the work that I have done in the week from 11/07 to 11/11 and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
What we have done in this week mostly is teamwork on the project. On Tuesday our group had a meeting outside the class. We worked on the midterm project report and prepared the presentation together. We summarized what we had done so far. Everything is on track. We also rescheduled for the last month left. I finished the final pitch letter for Pappy’s and sent it to project manager. It got approved by the whole team, so we decided to use it. The pitches for three local businesses are one of our major rubrics, and also the charity. So we had done the half main part for the whole project, while the other half are to set up the layout of tailgating event and final pitch to SLU.
The work I need to do in the upcoming week is to start to work on the layout of tailgating event. Because we do not have experience on it, I will go online to do some research about tailgating first. The whole team is going to work on this together. We are going to share ideas on the next week.
This report is regarding the work that I have done in the week from 10/31 to 11/04 and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
On the schedule for this week I should continuous work on the local business pitch. In the class we had a brief group meeting. Project manger talked about the whole project progress and kept everyone on track. I also communicated with the other local business specialist in the organization on our business pitches. We wrote our own draft pitches in different format. So we decided to use the same format. The other business specialist sent me his draft and I changed my draft pitch as the same format as his. I finished up the last part of the draft which was the “hook”. Also my personal goal is to improve English skill. So I revised my draft again and again.
The work I need to do in the upcoming week is to finish the pitch, and also work with the group to write the Mid-Term Project Report. We are going to do that on next Tuesday. I also need to practice the presentation for my pitch and the mid-term team presentation.
This report is regarding the work that I have done in the week from 10/24 to 10/28 and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
This week I worked on a draft of pitch for Pappy’s. Before writing the draft of pitch, I considered which part of the pitch should be focus on carefully. Finally I think I should highlight the potential benefit that Pappy’s can get from the tailgate party, although the money is going to denote to charity. The first part of the pitch is going to be the introduction of our organization and our goal. The following part is about our market clientele and competitive advantage. The last part is trying to convince them to join us by stating the potential benefit. I am still thinking the hook for the pitch. I am not sure it could be in a casual way or have to be a formal style because we are actually pitching for a real business. On this point I need to ask my teammate which is other local business specialist.
The work I need to do in the upcoming week is to finish the pitch, and also need to come to compromise with the other business specialist on this.
This report is regarding the work that I have done in the week from 10/14 to 10/21 and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
During this week I started to look for some local businesses that support us. Our final goal is to find at three local businesses. I am thinking about these businesses are near SLU. I made a list of them: Jimmy John’s, Subway, Pickleman, Domino Pizza, Arby’s and Pappy’s. The best choice is Pappy’s, because it’s BBQ smell can attract customers best. I am also creating different pitch for each business. There are some details about tailgate event that we need to discuss to add in the pitch. In last class, i gave opinion about choosing the logo for our organization.
The work I need to do in the coming week is to help to revise the organization document design and continuous to work on the pitches.
This report is regarding the work that I have done in the first week from 10/5 to 10/14 and what I am working on for the next week in SLU tailgating organization.
Our team had the first meeting on 10/5. We first created the organizational plan document together by using Google Document. During the meeting I helped to brainstorm the detail and goals that we should put in the plan for the project. I kept checking the format and layout of the document on track. The first draft of organization plan document is split to individual part to everyone. I was assigned to create the Rubric for Organization and Project Success and the conclusion. I evaluated the importance of the elements that would make our project successful and assign points for each element basic on the importance of it. The last job I have done is writing the conclusion which summarizes our organizational plan document.
As the Local Business Specialist, I in charge to accomplish the goal of having three local businesses committed to our organization. Therefore I am looking for some potential businesses and designing the pitch to present to them. That is also one of my part on the team task schedule.
